JOIN IN TO PLAY IN A 24-HOUR LAX GAME!!!!
Attached please find a flyer for a lacrosse fund raiser to benefit wounded American Soldiers via the “Wounded Warrior Project”. This event is being organized by a Boys’ Latin senior, Tyler Steinhardt. Details are as follows –
- The concept is to play a 24 hour game at Boys’ Latin High School (they have agreed to bring in portable lightning). If successful, the game will set a new world record. The current record is 13 hours and 14 minutes with the final score being 140 – 140 (I have talked to Tyler and we will go OT if necessary to settle it).
- Starting at 9:00 AM Thursday, June 14th, 2012 (Flag Day) through 9:00 AM Friday, June 15th, 2012.
- The minimum sign-up donation is $20 per-participant to play for 1 hour. Tyler is limiting everyone to 1 hour at this point to give more people an opportunity to participate.
- As a part of the registration process, you will be asked when you want to play. In talking with Tyler, we are encouraging all players to register within the following time blocks –
Youth players 10 and up – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursday June 14th.
College and Elite Players - 11:00 PM (Thursday June 14th) through 6:00 AM (Friday June 15th)
35+ players - 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Thursday June 14th)
If you want to play at any other time that is fine also. You will be asked to note which Club you play for during registration.
- All the details about registration are on the attached flyer.
