Spring 2025
Spring 2025 season registration starts soon and will run through February 7, 2025.
Although Spires supports the Frederick High School and Gov. Thomas Johnson area feeder schools we do not turn away children from other districts. Our registration is open to ANY child who wants to play lacrosse regardless of school, or experience.
Ages
Our teams are formed for the following age groups for both boys and girls:
• Grades 7/8- Players who are currently in grades 7 or 8
• Grades 5/6- Players who are currently in grades 5 or 6
• Grades 3/4- Players who are currently in grades 3 or 4
• Grades 1/2- Players who are currently in grades 1 or 2
• Scoopers- For players in preschool and kindergarten.
When
The season begins on Monday, March 4 and runs through our Conference End of Season Tournament held in May. Date and locations to be determined.
Scooper practices will not begin until the week of April 1, 2025.
Where
The location of practices and home games:
Grades 1/2 (both boys & girls): Clover Hill Park
Grades 3/4 (both boys & girls): Clover Hill Park
Grades 5/6 & 7/8 Boys: Clerestory Park
Grades 5/6 & 7/8 Girls: Greenleaf Park
Scoopers: TBD
Practices
Each team will practice twice a week in the evenings. The nights of practice are determined by the coaches and will be decided by our Traditional Back 2 Lax Night being held in February.
Games
For the regular season there are 8 games (except for Scoopers - see below). Boys games are held on Saturdays and Girls games are held on Sundays. Opening weekend will be the middle of March. There are no games Easter weekend (April 19/20, 2025). Home games are held at the same field as practices. Away games are held mostly in Frederick County but our Conference does include teams from Montgomery, Washington County and Martinsburg, WV. The game schedule is anticipated to be released the week of the first games.

USA Lacrosse Membership
Spires Lacrosse does require all athletes and coaches to have and maintain a current USA Lacrosse Membership. The membership must be good through May 31, 2025 for this season. Please visit https://www.usalacrosse.com/membership to renew or get a new membership.
Spring 2025
Spires Lacrosse is excited for the Spring 2025 season!
Returning players - Grades 1-8:
Grades 1-8 program costs will be $150 for the season. There is a $50 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration. We do offer a payment plan with the first payment of $60.00 due by December 1, 2024. The second and final payment of $50.00 will be due by February 1, 2025.
New players - Grades 1-8:
Players new to the sport of lacrosse will have a registration cost of $25.
Scoopers (Kindergarten)
The Scoopers Program Grades costs will be $50 for the season. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit due at time of registration. The second and final payment of $25.00 will be due by February 1, 2025.
Spires will be requiring every athlete to maintain a current USA Lacrosse Membership throughout the season. Become a USA Lacrosse Member.
The Spring 2025 season is scheduled to begin in February 2025 and end in May. Scoopers practices begin the week of April 1, 2025.
